Pigeon Tales Case Study

Creative Conscious Shortlisted

Role

Solo project.

Pigeon Tales is an innovative project that aims to address the complex issue of gentrification in urban neighborhoods. By utilizing a third unbiased narrator living in a divided neighborhood, the project seeks to explore how the old and new aspects of a community can be blended together to create a more cohesive and inclusive environment. Through storytelling and dialogue, Pigeon Tales hopes to bridge the gap and reduce the division caused by gentrification.

Brand: Right to the City was born out of a desire by members, organizers, and allies around the country to have a stronger movement for urban justice. Believing that everyone has a right to the city, and the inhabitants, have a right to shape it, design it, and operationalize an urban human rights agenda.

Target: All the residents living in divided neighborhoods, focusing on the new and the old; the gentrified and the gentrifying.

Objective: Bridging the division of neighborhoods, and focusing on togetherness, with an unbiased and neutral 3rd party narration.

Insight: People are more likely to be open to change if they are part of it. Bring the old and the new together to form a new neighborhood.

Problem: How do we find a compromise in a divided neighborhood that now consists of two different groups? How do we bring together the incoming residents, and the old existing ones?
