HBCUs Outside is a project aimed at establishing connections and encouraging students to directly connect with nature and outdoor spaces to finally close the nature gap. The project is focused on creating opportunities for the HBCU community to engage with the outdoors and promote the benefits of outdoor recreation and environmental conservation.

Aims to connect and engage more with their target audience (HBCU Students & Alumni).
Seeks to increase and improve social media engagement with their target audience.
Dedicates themselves to creating spaces where like-minded people can feel seen and supported.
Many HBCU Students do not see themselves as “outdoorsy.” As a result, they aren't aware of the HBCU outdoor community. We will aim to bring awareness of the great benefits of the outdoors.
